JAKOYO MIDIWO begs UHURU KENYATTA to do away with devolution and he will support him - it is too expensive - LOOK.

Wednesdayday November 27, 2013 - National Assembly Deputy Minority Leader and Gem Member Parliament, Jakoyo Midiwo, has begged President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, to do away with devolution.

Speaking over the weekend, Midiwo noted that devolution was becoming too expensive for Kenya day by day than anticipated due to the increased Wage Bill and should be done away with for meaningful development to take effect.

Midiwo said Uhuru/ Ruto’s Government uses almost half a trillion on recurrent expenditure leaving peanuts for development including construction of roads, health facilities and security.

He urged Uhuru Kenyatta to initiate the process of abolishing the Senate because it’s doing nothing, and reduce the number of Counties from 47 to only 14, which will also bring the number of Women Reps to 14 maximum, with the view of reducing the wage bill and he will support him.

The Gem MP also wants County Reps to be reduced from a record 1, 450 to mere 900 as well collapse 13 commissions, which have many commissioners yet doing very little work
