Tue Oct 15,2013 - It
is a big blow to radio Journalist, Joshua Arap Sang’, after it emerged his case
at the International Criminal Court (ICC) is personal and that no one can help
him, not even the Kenyan Government or the African Union (AU).
Speaking on Monday,
Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary, Ambassador Amina Mohammed, noted that only
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, will get support and
help from the AU and Kenya to have their cases deferred by virtue of their
offices, which made their cases both national and a regional issue.
She noted that the AU did not discuss
Joshua Sang’s case because he is not Head of State and that his case was
personal and he should deal with it at a personal level.
“We did not discuss Sang’s case
because he is not a Head of State. We only discussed the most important ones of
Uhuru and Ruto, which are now national and regional issues”, said Mohammed.
